Bird Dogs Boats is pleased to kick-off our 2021 season with grant from Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, Move United and Florida Disabled Outdoors Association.  This grant will sponsor 15 charters for people with spinal cord injuries.

If your company, club or religious organization is interested in sponsoring a charter boat trip or multiple trips, please contact thomas.griffin@birddogboats.com.  Sponsorships are tax deductible as a 501(c)3 charitable contribution.

   > All charters are operated by a US Coast Guard  Licensed Captain and scheduled on weekdays. 
   > We welcome aboard one person using a wheelchair (manual or power) plus one or two more adult campanions.
   > Guests are welcomed to bring a cooler with drinks and snacks.  No alcoholic beverages please.
   > A variety of charter boat trips are availabe including fishing, eco-tours, marine biology tours and sunset cruises.
   >
Sponsors may invite their own guests aboard, or let Bird Dog Boats designate and invite the guests.
   > Sponsors may designate a specific group they wish to serve, such as the groups below, but not limited to: 
               
                   
            
          

   > Sponsors only need to make an "email pledge" with their detailed requirements to commit to a sponsorship.
   > Bird Dog Boats will send an invoice and photos to the sponsor after the charter boat trip is completed.

   > It may take some extra time to serve the pledge.  We often reschedule due to weather or at the guest's request.
   > Guests and their companions will be required to sign a liability release and a Covid safty consent form.
   > At this time we discourge group gatherings and ask that the sponsor does not participate the day of the charter.

   Get ready for some good ole Florida adventure.  Mary's Fish Camp was established in 1946 and still holds all
   the charm and ambience of a genuine Florida fish camp.  We'll start you off by baiting your hook with creek chubs
   and fishing for giant mangrove snapper in Mud River Springs.  Then we'll go fishing at the mouth of the Weeki
   Wachee River and the Gulf of Mexico.  Should we try out Red Fish Bayou?  Later back at camp there will be plenty
   of stories to hear.  So kick back and take in some local Florida flavor.

     The Portavant Temple Mound is one of fifteen or more "Temple Mounds" produced by the Safety Harbor
     culture (900-1725) of American Indians.  In the late 1800s, pioneers Robert and Anna Griffith built their home
     on top of the temple mound and their plantation on Emerson Point.  Our adventure starts in track chairs as
     we trace the trails of Emerson Point and ascend the Portavant Temple Mound, now a Florida State Archeoligical
     Site and a U.S. National Registered Historic Place.  Afterwards we board Bird Dog Boats for a tour of the
     Manatee River as we gain a nautical perspective on the arrival of Hernando de Soto into the Tampa Bay
     area on May 25, 1539.

    Not too far south of Tampa, E.G. Simmons Park is a hidden jewel located in Ruskin, FL.  Our itinerary starts out in
    Tampa Bay were we will have a unique vista of both the Tampa skyline and the St. Petersburg skyline.  But soon
    we will be motoring up the Little Manatte River taking in sites and enjoying the wildlife.  Maybe we'll try our luck at
    a sheepshead or snook among the mangroves at Devil's Elbow.
